The Florida football program is in a dark place and it is quite frankly a dumpster fire right now.

There is zero belief in Coach Napier in the fanbase and around Gainesville. The Gators have started the season 1-2 and have not even got into the most difficult part of their schedule. They have the hardest schedule in the country and they could finish this season 3-9 if they do not make a change. Florida is 12-16 under Coach Napier which is the worst record in Gator history since 1949.

Florida plays Mississippi State this weekend in Starkville and if they lose this game they should move on from him. If the Gators win they should not fire him and let him ride out the season. If they do lose and it is ugly they should move on from Coach Napier and hire an interim coach to finish out the season. They need someone to bring some energy and hope to the team. Someone that can bring a different energy to the team for this season and try to get to five wins.

Why is this the perfect time to move on from Coach Napier?

Florida has a bye week after their game vs Mississippi State and this would give them time to get an interim coach and get some energy back in the building. They play UCF at the Swamp coming out of the bye week. Moving on from Coach Napier during the bye week would give the new coach a chance to change some things and to get a win vs UCF and bring some hope into the world for Gator fans.

After the UCF game their schedule gets brutal with the remaining games being: at Tennessee, vs Kentucky, at Georgia, at Texas, vs LSU, vs Ole Miss, and at FSU. There is a scenario where the Gators do not win a game after the UCF game. Florida needs a change immediately this season could be one of the worst in Florida History.
