Ole Miss almost gave me a heart attack, but we got there in the end

The first half of the Ole Miss-North Carolina was great for the Rebels, but the second half nearly gave me a heart attack.

For the entirety of the first half, the Rebels were unconscious from the field, especially Dre Davis, who didn’t miss a shot and had 13 points in the first half alone. Ole Miss went into the half with an 18-point lead and most Rebel fans were getting comfy thinking that the game was in Ole Miss’ hands and it was.

Ole Miss tends to do this really funny thing where they love to give their fans a heart attack in big games, and they did that once again. In the second half, UNC outscored the Rebels 38-27, a polar opposite of the first half. It felt as if Ole Miss swayed away from what was working, as Dre Davis only had two points in the second half and the focus shifted to Sean Pedulla moving the offense.

Pedulla awarded the Rebels with 20 points and a dagger three-point shot that essentially sealed the game for Ole Miss. The Rebels now move on the Iowa State and this game lowkey terrifies me as the Cyclones looked really good in their first game.

Overall, I think if the first-half Rebels show up against Iowa State, they should win, but if that second-half team shows up, I’m not so sure.

Also, thank you Tim Doyle for saying something dumb to fire up the team, but frauds, they are not.
