I’m on cloud nine right now after Sean Pedulla called game so bare with me for a bit.
The Ole Miss Rebels are coming off an exhilarating 83-80 win over the Arkansas Razorbacks to move forward in the SEC Tournament. They are now facing the Auburn Tigers, which is a bit frustrating to be honest, but I believe that they can actually win this game.
Pedulla needs to be better
I know, I know, Pedulla won the game for the Rebels, but it was a bad game from him overall. He shot 3-9 from the field and kept turning the ball over and over.
If Pedulla is on, watch out, as he takes over the floor and becomes nearly unstoppable. He sat out for most of the second half as well because he got into foul trouble.
Have to be better in the paint
This Ole Miss team was just straight up bad in the paint against Arkansas, with 36 points in the paint for the entire game.
This is in Malik Dia and Jaemyn Brakefield. They got dominated inside against the Razorbacks in both points and rebounds in the paint. Arkansas had 38 rebounds to Ole Miss’ 32. While yes the Rebels had more paint points than the Razorbacks, it sure didn’t feel that way.
Have to be more consistent
It was a rare off day for the Rebel offense, as the team shot 33.3% from three, which is abnormal for them. They are normally a very consistent offense, but they were just very streaky against Arkansas and I expect that to change.
Final thoughts
I think that all of these things will come to fruition and Ole Miss will move past the Auburn Tigers and shock the college basketball world.
