Ole Miss and Missouri were two of the biggest stories this past season with both schools having fantastic seasons. Ole Miss and Missouri went 11-2 this past season and made waves throughout college football. These two schools have a lot of expectations going into the 2024 season.

Who will have a better 2024? This is a difficult question because both schools have done so well recently and made splashes in the off-season.

On one hand, you have Ole Miss, who recruited the #1 transfer class in the country and spent a lot of NIL money to get it. Missouri made national headlines for receiving $62 million for renovations to their stadium and their NIL fund. Both schools have great coaches and leadership in Lane Kiffin and Eli Drinkwitz, who have proven they can win in the SEC.

Missouri will have a better season than Ole Miss in 2024 because their schedule is a little easier. Ole Miss' most difficult games are Georgia, LSU, Oklahoma, and Florida at the Swamp. Missouri’s most difficult games are Alabama, Auburn, and Oklahoma. The Tigers could easily be 7-0 going into the Alabama game.

I am very high on Missouri and Coach Drinkwitzt. He has done more with less, Missouri is not as historically great as Ole Miss has been. Ole Miss has had more resources but with Missouri investing heavily in the football program that could change.

Both schools are returning their starting quarterbacks as well. Both of these quarterbacks had great seasons in 2023 and have a lot of weapons to work in 2024.

Missouri has one of the best receivers in the country in Luther Burden he is a superstar and a huge playmaker for the Tigers. Ole Miss has a ton of weapons at receiver including Tre Harris, Jordan Watkins, transfer from South Carolina Juice Wells, and tight end Caden Prieskorn. Ole Miss has more pressure on them than Missouri to have a great season because of all the additions they made through the transfer portal.

I predict that Ole Miss will underachieve this season. They will make the College Football Playoff but will not win the SEC Championship and will not make it to the National Championship game.
