The SEC has been great this year in college basketball with 8 teams in the NCAA tournament.

There are multiple teams like Tennessee, Auburn, Kentucky, and Alabama that are favored to make a run in the NCAA tournament. Auburn dominated the SEC tournament and is my favorite to go far and possibly win the NCAA tournament. Auburn just whipped South Carolina in the SEC tournament and beat Florida by 19 points in the SEC Championship.

Tennessee is my second favorite to play well in the tournament with an ugly loss vs Mississippi State they should be motivated to play well. They have one of the best players in the country Dalton Knecht, who can take over any game.

With that being said we all know that March Madness is unpredictable and one or two of those schools will lose early in the NCAA tournament. The other SEC teams in the NCAA tournament are South Carolina, Florida, Mississippi State, and Texas A&M. With the tournament being unpredictable, what underdog SEC team will make a run in March?

Florida got in a rhythm towards the end of the season and made it to the SEC Championship and lost to Auburn but they started to pick up steam. Florida and Texas A&M are my picks to upset a couple of teams and make a run in the tournament. Florida could make the Sweet 16 pretty easily if they play well.

Texas A&M is a team that I like when it comes to March Madness. They played a tough schedule and have some good wins like their win over Kentucky in the SEC tournament. Buzz Williams will have his team ready to play, if they get the win vs Nebraska I think that could carry a lot of momentum and help them have a good run.

South Carolina is another team that could make a run in the tournament but they have a tough game vs Oregon right off the bat. Mississippi State is a team that is interesting because they have had an up-and-down year but beating Tennessee in the SEC tournament could lead to some momentum they would be my most unlikely pick to make a run out of the bottom 4 in the SEC.

The SEC has a great field in this tournament and any one of these teams could make a run if they get hot. In March anything can happen. We have seen some of the most unlikely teams make incredible runs. It will be interesting to see how the SEC does in the tournament.
