We are currently in the infancy stages of the college football offseason but in the modern era of the sport, there truly isn't an offseason. Between the transfer portal, NIL, and recruiting, college football has become 24/7, 365 sport.
Recruiting is considered the life-blood of a program and nobody is more familiar with that sentiment than Alabama football fans. Although the legendary Nick Saban has retired, the Crimson Tide is still among the elite programs in the country relative to high school recruiting. According to On3, Alabama currently holds the No. 7 overall class for 2025 with plenty of time to make a move inside the top five.
Alabama has a total of 10 commitments so far and there are plenty of high-profile prospects remaining on the board for Kalen DeBoer and his staff to choose from. Here are three that Crimson Tide fans should have their eyes on.
Jackson Lloyd, Four-star OT
Lloyd is a talented offensive tackle prospect who is currently extremely high on the Crimson Tide. The California native has a high ceiling and is expected to be apart of the 2025 Alabama signing class.
Dijon Lee, four-star CB
You won't find many cornerbacks with the length and athleticism of Dijon Lee. At 6-foot-4, Lee has elite size for his position and displays more than enough fluidity to play the corner position. Alabama is currently the team to beat for Lee.
Dawson Merritt, four-star LB
Merritt announced earlier this week that he was down to Alabama and Nebraska and acquiring a commitment from him would be huge for Coach DeBoer and his staff. Merritt has the ability to play multiple roles on the defense whether that is as an edge rusher or an off-the-ball linebacker. You won't find many linebackers who have the mix of length, athleticism, and versatility.
