Accountability is one of the many keys to success in this field. For me personally, this means owning up for one of the worst takes in the history of college baseball. Having even a thought that Tennessee would not live up to expectations this season was rather absurd on my behalf.

So, to Vol Nation, the rowdiest bunch on social media, I apologize and I was wrong.

When I wrote this piece in February, I truly believed that Tennessee would not have enough pitching to get by in the SEC. It had nothing to do with the teams I am a fan of and there was no alternate motive to be writing the piece. It was something that I truly believed.

I always knew that the offense would be one of the best in the country, but I just did not see the pitching being able to be as good as it was. Early in the season, there were concerns, but from the middle of March until the last game of the season, the pitching staff was one of the best in not only the SEC, but the country and helped the Vols to a National Championship.

Watching this season play out like it did was one of the most enjoyable few months that I've had. Sure, people were coming at my throat, calling me out every day for the horrible take and making sure I didn't forget what I'd said.

One thing remained true during this; people kept coming back to the article, giving it views like no other article I've ever done and I'm actually okay with that. Maybe it took me writing one of the worst articles of all-time to get my name out there, and not for the right reasons. They say that even bad publicity is still publicity and it's been super cool for me to see the likes of Old Takes Exposed and even Tennessee's own Blake Burke who kept their receipts on the article.

So once again Vol Nation, you got me. You guys did what you do and you held me accountable and for that, I say thank you. Coach Vitello and the boys got it done and led me here to this article.

At the end of the day, I was dead wrong and I take full ownership for that. It's been one fun college baseball season and I can't wait to chat it up again in 2025.
