TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – For the first time in Southeastern Conference history, the nation’s top two teams will face off when No. 1 Auburn (22-2, 10-1 SEC) visits No. 2 Alabama (21-3, 10-1 SEC) on Saturday.

The matchup not only features a battle for SEC supremacy but also showcases two of the top contenders for National Player of the Year honors. Auburn’s Johni Broome has been a dominant force, averaging 18.1 points, 10.7 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 2.7 blocks per game. Alabama’s All-American guard Mark Sears leads the Crimson Tide with 17.8 points and 4.9 assists per contest.
