This upcoming season for Ole Miss is going to be a make-or-break year.

Are they going to be another good Ole Miss team that can not win the SEC championship or the National Championship? Or will this upcoming year be the year they rise to the top and make a legitimate run at a championship?

In my opinion, I do not think Ole Miss will win any type of championship. They will go 10-2 in the regular season and lose in the 1st or 2nd round of the new college football playoff system.

Ole Miss went 11-2 last year and has their returning QB Jaxon Dart coming back to go along with the #1 transfer portal class in the country. Ole Miss is going all in to bring in a National Championship team. Ole Miss has improved it's NIL collective and spent a lot of money to get these players. The Ole Miss NIL collective The Grove Collective is the #9 collective in the country. The Ole Miss athletics department, which is different from the collective, spent $150.2 million in 2023.

Keith Carter is the athletic director at Ole Miss and has emphasized excelling in athletics.

‍"I feel like we have had to make up some ground, and we've had to kind of do that quickly," Carter said. "Most of it is in football, honestly".

Ole Miss is investing all the resources they can to build a championship team but will it be enough to beat Georgia or LSU this season? Ole Miss has struggled to win against the big boys in the SEC, it is less on Ole Miss and more that Ole Miss is in the toughest conference in the country.

Ole Miss also lost star running back Quinshon Judkins who transferred to Ohio State. This is a huge part of their offense he rushed for 1,158 yards and 15 TDs in 2023 for the Rebels.

It will be interesting to see if Ole Miss can get over the hump this season with all they have invested into their program.
