The Ole Miss Rebels have started the season off strong and are off to an undefeated start being 4-0. They have demolished the competition so far this season. They have not played strong competition so far with wins over Furman, Middle Tennessee, Wake Forest and Georgia Southern.

I have questions about this Ole Miss team because of the lack of competition they have played. How good is this Ole Miss team actually? Are they a guaranteed playoff team?

They are not a guarantee right now. The SEC is extremely competitive with Georgia, Texas, Tennessee, and Alabama. There are a lot of SEC teams in the mix for the 12 spots in the CFP but how many SEC teams will make it?

Ole Miss will start SEC play this weekend against Kentucky at  home and this game is going to tell us a lot. Kentucky is not great, but they have a solid defense and have SEC players. The Rebels play at South Carolina next week and this will be their first SEC road test in a hostile environment at Williams Brice Stadium.

The Rebels two biggest games are at LSU on October 12th and Georgia at home on November 9th. They need to win at least one of those games to be in a good spot for the CFP. The next three weeks we are going to find out a lot about this Ole Miss team.

Can this team get over the edge or will they be another team with a lot of talent that cannot beat the big boys of the SEC?
