Spring football is in full swing as SEC program's continue preparations for the 2024 season. Below is the full SEC Football Spring Game Schedule including dates, times and other notes. Kickoff can't come soon enough.
Reminder, Mizzou already had their spring game on March 16th. No clue why they start SO early.
Alabama's A-Day Game is the only SEC Spring Game to be televised to a national TV audience. All other games will be aired on SEC Network Plus and/or ESPN Plus. If you're a SEC fan, good chance you've already got these streaming services available and will be good to go to catch all the action.
South Carolina continues to be the only SEC team that holds their spring game at night. Not sure why more schools don't do this. Any time you can get under the lights at your home stadium, it's a plus. Helps with attendance, overall atmosphere and gives your program an opportunity to put on a show for recruits that may be in town visiting.
Auburn and Vanderbilt will produce All-Access shows as part of their spring activities. I think this is a GREAT idea that more SEC schools should participate in. Nothing that will help your fanbase buy in more by giving them an inside look at what their investments through NIL are helping support on a day in, day out basis.
The Tigers have set a date for their A-Day game, which will be played on April 6th.
Meanwhile, the Dores will not hold a traditional spring game and there will be no fan access at any point. Tough for Vanderbilt fans, who I'd imagine for any sort of reason to be fired up for Clark Lea's program heading into the 2024 season.
Texas and Oklahoma having their Spring Games on the exact same day at the EXACT SAME TIME is peak pettiness. Rivalries never stop, not even for spring ball.
So, there you have it. While we all may love March Madness and college baseball, there's nothing that moves the needle and gets us fired up quite like college football. So catch a Spring Game or two, head to the stadium and take the family out to get a first glimpse at your favorite team.
