South Carolina has been one of the most unpredictable teams in the country this season. The Gamecocks had a couple of rough stretches but also won a series against some of the best teams in the country. Can this Gamecocks team make a run to Omaha?

It depends on what Gamecock team shows up night in and night out. South Carolina has a lot of talent on their team with Cole Messina and Ethan Petry being two of the best players in the SEC.

South Carolina has big series wins over Kentucky, Vanderbilt, and Florida. The Gamecocks have struggled to show up night in and night out. They have played better recently. That being said, will they be able to continue that and play consistently?

The Gamecocks have made some adjustments and Gamecock outfielders Austin Brinling and Blake Jackson have given the Gamecocks some juice and have hit the ball well. To make a run to Omaha the Gamecocks need to take care of business and win against the teams that they should defeat. In order to do that, the Gamecocks have to hit the ball well.

During some parts of the season, the Gamecocks have been home run or bust. The Gamecocks begin a series against Missouri on Friday, May 3rd, the Gamecocks need to show that they can win and stay hungry after a big series win over Kentucky.

I believe that if the Gamecocks can close out the season by winning two out of the last three series, that they will be in a great spot to play well in the SEC tournament and make a run to Omaha.
