The SEC has some of the biggest games in college football this upcoming season. The addition of Texas and Oklahoma makes SEC football even better. Here are my Top 3 games in the SEC in 2024. 

1. Georgia at Alabama (September 28th)

Alabama vs Georgia is always one of the best games of the year. Normally, they meet in the SEC Championship but this year they play in Tuscaloosa.

The atmosphere will be very special and one of the coolest atmospheres of the season. These teams have a rivalry and are constantly competing with each other in recruiting and on the field. Alabama is coming off a CFP appearance and Nick Saban is retiring.

Georgia only lost 1 game last season to Alabama and the Dawgs are my favorite to win the National Championship. They are one of the best teams in the country. This will most likely be a top-ranked matchup and both of these teams will be in the running for the CFP.

2. Georgia at Texas (October 19th)

Georgia vs Texas is going to be an absolute classic, Texas and Georgia are going to be two of the best teams in the country. Both schools have their starting quarterback returning in Quinn Ewers and Carson Beck.

These teams do not play each other very often but with Texas coming to the SEC this could be the start of a great rivalry. Texas was in the CFP and Georgia arguably should have been in the CFP. This game will be played in Austin and this will be another great atmosphere. This shows how elite the atmospheres and the competition are in the SEC, every week you are playing in a hostile environment.

Both of these teams could be in the CFP this year with it being expanded to 12 teams.

3. Georgia at Ole Miss (November 9)

Georgia vs Ole Miss was a beatdown last season in Athens but this season Ole Miss will have the most talented team they have had in 10 years. Ole Miss had the country's #1 transfer portal class and spent a lot of NIL money to get those players.

If there is a year they could beat Georgia this is the year. Ole Miss is playing in Oxford with an experienced QB, loaded at receiver, and revamped defense. This game will be a huge test for Ole Miss and will be a measuring stick to how good they actually are. Georgia is Georgia, they will be one of the best teams in the country.

This game is more about Ole Miss and if they are ready to win vs one of the best programs in the country.
